Description

This 8-module program walks beginning Database Administrators through the foundational concepts essential to working with a Couchbase Database in the Capella user interface. Each of these self-paced modules should take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete.

There are accompanying lab exercises to help solidify learners' understanding of key features and concepts. Modules also contain Knowledge Check quizzes that need to be passed in order to pass the program.

Objectives

Learners who take these self-paced modules will learn about the following topics: 

 

Module 1: Introduction to Capella Associate Administrator Certification

 

Module 2: Getting started with Couchbase Capella, adding Users, creating Projects, and properly permissioning users, storage concepts specific to Couchbase, creating a Cluster using Couchbase Capella

 

Module 3: Creating Buckets, Scopes, and Collections, importing data into your newly created Clusters 

 

Module 4:  N1QL ("nickel") or SQL++, Tools are available within each Cluster, the features and functionality of Capella's Query Workbench, how to input queries, the requirements for indexes in Couchbase, and how to create, modify, and delete indexes in Capella 

 

Module 5:  Metrics available by Cluster and Node within Couchbase Capella, Warning and Critical Alerts, as well as how to sign up for email notifications 

 

Module 6: Scaling options in Capella and how to complete scaling operations in the Capella UI

 

Module 7: Creating a new Backup Schedule, modifying an existing Backup Schedule, restoring a Backup, and setting up Cross Data Center Replication using the Couchbase Capella UI.

 

Module 8: Couchbase Capella Security, Certification Program Summary, and Certification Exam preparation and purchase

Instructor Led Training: Couchbase guarantees that registered and paid Learners who fully attend all lectures, actively participate, and complete all hands on lab work for an Instructor Led Training course registered through this site and delivered by Couchbase staff, will be competent and confident with the learning objectives presented for that course. Learners who fully attend all lectures, actively participate, and complete all hands on lab work for a course, but do not feel competent and confident with the stated learning objectives presented for that course, at the end of the course, may retake any publicly scheduled and confirmed delivery of the same course, without charge, within one year of the end date of the originally registered training. 

Online Training: Couchbase provides no guaranteed learning outcome for any Learner's participation in free online training courses provided by Couchbase.

2. Intellectual Property

All training content registered or distributed through this service is owned by Couchbase, and all rights to this content are reserved. No rights, title, or interest in the training content are extended to the Learner.
